This week we will be learning about Growing Plants. Please follow click this link to complete the Oak Academy sessions over three days: Oak Academy

Session 1: To understand what plants need to grow

In this set of lessons we learn how plants grow. In this lesson with Miss Hughes, we will look at the things plants need to grow. We will learn to plant a seed and you can end the lesson testing your knowledge by following the instruction to plant a seed yourself. Make sure to look after it and watch it grow.

Session 2: To sequence the stages of a plant growing

In today's lesson, we join Miss Sidenius in finding out the different stages of a plant growing. We learn about what plants need to grow, and finish the lesson by creating a representation of a plant or flower using seeds and beans. You could extend this lesson by trying to recognise different stages of the plant life cycle using plants or flowers in your home.

Session 3: Construct a beanstalk

In today's lesson we will combine different media in order to create a representation of a beanstalk. The three key areas of development that this lesson links to are expressive arts and design, physical development and understanding the world.
