After we have found out lots of facts about these animals, we will be creating our own non-chronological reports about a chosen animal.
In Maths, we will be continuing to practice addition and subtraction strategies. We will be representing our understanding using different models such as part-part-wholes and tens frames. We will also be embedding our recall of number bonds to 10, and then practice using our knowledge to help us solve problems. In addition, we will be looking at place value to 50. We will represent numbers to 50 by partitioning them into tens and ones, as well as securing our recognition of these numbers.
In Science, we will be classifying animals into categories such as mammals and reptiles, and carnivores and herbivores. We will have a particular focus on nocturnal animals and will be learning lots of interesting facts about them.
